Hey, all -
So, I just got my first pair of pointe shoes in more than twelve years. :) I, um, had forgotten how painful new pointe shoes can be, but it was easier than I thought to get back over my box and it felt so great to be on my toes again, even if it was just at the fitters. :)

But I have a question. These Blochs have a bit of rubber padding at the end of the box that pushes against my big toe. It's pretty painful, but when I tried a half size larger my feet seemed to sink into the shoes and I didn't feel secure. The fitter assured me that as the shoes soften and break in I won't notice that rubber toe pad so much anymore, but I am pretty worried about it. I've never danced in a shoe like this before. Do I just need to be patient, or can I cut that pad out without tearing up the shoe?

Also, do you know of any model/brand of shoe similar to these but without the pad? Thanks!

1. Been reading up on FF1 since it has so much to do with Dissidia. Haven't continued though.
2. Still waiting to finish FF1 before I get to FF2.
3. I now have the first set of jobs in FF3! Double equips FTW!
4. Finally have a bin for FF4.
5. Havent continued FF5, pretty soon, I will.
6. Got an EBOOT of FF6 instead for my PSP; it's already there.
7. No need for FF7 as of the moment. Distant future, maybe.
8. Amazingly got a PC of FF8 version with 4 discs merge into one DVD image. Took a while to get it running properly, butting running on XP service pack 2 and running as admin solved the prob. Excited about the hi-res fonts! The low-res fonts in the PSX version always kinda brought me back to Earth. And the DVD quality movies! Exciting!
9. In FF9, still in Treno (I think I got dismayed by being unable to steal that sword at the end of disc 1, then again, it can be bought, but still...it's FF9. It's all about stealing from bosses. Well, not really, but it's fun.
10. FFX, really no need. Distant future.

*No progress in Tactics: WotL
*Got a bunch of level 100 exclusives already. A bit of a letdown, but, yeah, pretty satisfied. I will probably stop playing soon. Will just try to get everything and play story mode for everyone once again.
